Each piece of jewellery is entirely handcrafted in the Lode Martens atelier in Belgium, where exceptional craftsmanship, timeless elegance and emotional storytelling come together in bespoke fine jewellery creations.

After spending several years in Paris working alongside some of the world’s most prestigious jewellery houses — including Cartier, Van Cleef & Arpels, Dior and Chanel — Lode Martens returned to Belgium to establish his own high jewellery atelier in Hasselt.

From an early age, he was fascinated by jewellery, design and the elegance with which women wear jewellery. At the age of sixteen, he moved to Namur to study goldsmithing at the Institut d'Enseignement des Arts, Techniques, Sciences et Artisanat. He later graduated from the world-renowned Goldschmiedeschule Pforzheim in Germany before gaining experience in jewellery studios near Düsseldorf and Aachen.

His years in Paris immersed him in the world of Haute Joaillerie and high fashion, shaping the refined artistic identity that defines the Lode Martens atelier today.

Founded in 2003, the atelier creates unique bespoke jewellery pieces designed to be worn, treasured and passed on for generations.

Lode makes a 3D sketch of each design so that the design can be clearly communicated and discussed.
